The device is intended for the sterilization of personal utensils used for travel, shopping, leisure and outdoor use (such as credit cards, mobile phone, cutlery, personal gadgets) and other surfaces, that contain dangerous pathogens, including viruses present on food. For this purpose, two different UV range light sources are installed in the device. Device uses UVC and UVA LEDs, which can be manufactured to target very specific and narrow wavelengths. This allows travel sterilizer to be tailored to the particular application need. UVC is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions. UVC disinfection is used in a variety of applications for decades, such as food, air, and water purification, making it a proven and tested technology. This is coupled with broader UVA wavelength spectrum, which has significant antimicrobial properties against a wide range of bacterial and fungal pathogens and, although germicidal efficacy is lower than UV light, this limitation is offset by its facility for safe, continuous use in occupied environments. Additionally, device can be used as a Li-ion power bank for charging your phone and additional gadgets via USB ports( IPhone, IPad, IPod, PSP, MP3, Android phones, cameras, tablets ,etc) Device is designed with an object presence detector built into the device for the UVC operation mode (UVC safety mechanism). When the device detects an object the light source operating in the UVC zone is activated, enabling safe use and preventing potential unwanted operation.
